- CENVAT :IBMA succeeded in obtaining exemption from central exis duty on biscuits with MRP upto Rs.100/ Kg (as against MRP upto Rs.50/ Kg) in the union budget 2007-2008.
- VAT :Extremly concerned of adverse impact due to levy of VAT on biscuit at the highest rate of 12.5% IBMA is vigorously pursuing the issue with chairmen/ member secratery of the empowered committee of states on VAT as well as with Chief Ministers/Finance/ Taxation Minister of all states and with the Govt of India(Minister of Finance)
- RAW MATERIALS / INPUTS: Periodic review of availability and prices of raw materials/ ingredients/equipment/fuel etc and regular interaction with suppliers/manufacturers/inpus etc.
